AfroSpear Press Release for September 20th Jena 6 Rally in Jena, LA

B has covered the rally in Jena on the 20th. The following is a press release from AfroSpear (a group that The SuperSpade is a member of) that gives a bit more information. We’re expecting this to be one of the largest demonstrations in the history of the state of Louisiana. I encourage as many of you that can go to go.

In response to Black bloggers and activists national call for a Jena Six Justice March, AfroSpear activist blogger Eddie G. Griffin (BASG) foresees as many as 50,000 marchers in Jena, Louisiana on September 20, demanding justice for six Blacks youths who were charged criminally after opposing segregation in Jena, Louisiana.
Senator Barack Obama has said:
“When nooses are being hung in high schools in the 21st century, it’s a tragedy. It shows that we still have a lot of work to do as a nation to heal our racial tensions. This isn’t just Jena’s problem; it’s America’s problem.” Eddie G. Griffin (BASG): Obama Demands Fairness in Jena Six Case
50,000 marchers at the September 20 Jena Six Justice March will exceed the population of Jena, Louisiana by a factor of 16:1. Even if Jena were not antagonistic toward the rights of Black citizens and those who march in their support (they supported David Duke’s senate campaign by a wide margin), Jena’s public safety officials - traffic, police, fire and ambulance - would not be equipped to provide public safety services for a march this large. In fact, this will be the largest public gathering in the history of Jena, Louisiana.
We in the AfroSpear proactively demand that Louisiana’s Governor Blanco organize state level public safety preparations for this march, just as she should have done but failed to do in advance of Hurricane Katrina. It is foreseen that tens of thousands of people will march for justice in Jena, and the state government must make public safety provisions for the marchers and local citizens.
AfroSpear bloggers who are going to Jena are being asked to bring digital cameras and video recorders so that we can immediately post stories on the Internet and provide footage to major news organizations, immediately distributing photographs and links to Youtube film footage through the AfroSpear associated press newsgroup. Photographs and film footage will immediately be distributed nationally and internationally through AfroSpear blogs.
The September 20 Jena Justice March will be the largest march of historic proportions both organized and reported by the Afrosphere to date. The AfroSpear is making every preparation for a safe and orderly march. We call upon Governor Blanco to assume responsibility for public safety with equal seriousness and diligence.

Amazing what people will do to get 6 blacks off from trying to murder a white boy, but if the shoe was on the other foot you’d all be crying “RACISM!!!”

So basically niggers should be allowed to do whatever they please without any retribution or punishment. Whites are attcked evry day by blacks all over the owrld and the media keeps it nice and quiet but when a blacks are suddenly held to take responsibility for their actions,…..ooooh! It’s racism. And you wonder why Africa is such a fucking mess.
I think all crimes should be fair not one punishment for whites and one punishment for blacks. You’re crying unfair, what about when the gun was pulled on the black kid at the store and he tried to defend himself by taking the gun away. The black was arrested for STEALING the weapon but the white kid got nothing… What kind of bulls… is that? People will only turn the other cheek for so long…..
So Six Negros commit attempted murder on a young white kid and people are supporting the negros? Its a sad state of affairs when you prop up the attacker. When negros start chimping out there in Jena. I hope the whites in town have their guns clean and loaded, their going to need them. Maybe a few more nooses should be strung up on main street just to let the negros who is incharge.

I am so proud to be an American today, we have come together as a UNITED FRONT and stood up for what we believe in! Change starts with an individual and gets spread through the masses. For everybody that attended the rally I commend you! I also have to add that It is really sad that in this day in age some of you are so ignorant and think this situation is all right. Calling people Negros and Niggers and hanging nooses, it just goes to show how stupid your parents really are to raise such foul offspring… I swear some people should never be allowed to give birth. ANY DOG IN THE STREET CAN GIVE BIRTH, BUT IT TAKES A REAL WOMAN TO RAISE A CHILD AND INSTILL PROPER VALUES.
Lets all go have a cold beer and watch the game.
When will African Americans stop supporting the race-baiting, media hungry gluttons of Shstpton and Jackson. This is a clear cut case of student violence and hopefully justice will be served when those partaking in the beating are brought to court and given the proper punishment. Race may have been the cause but whites now suffer the inequality when it comes to justice in court.
If this were reversed, it would all be cries of racism but now that the blacks did the beating, it’s purely considered justice? No!
Let’s hope they get a stiff sentence to dissuade this kind of violence again by either side.
As for the comment below about the n-word…When rappers stop using it then so will I. Call me cracker, it means nothing since we are bigger than the words we are called. This is a free country, at least it used to be before everything brought up by minorities has all come down to inequality.
