How was I supposed to know?

This will be the type of ignorant but calculating excuse that Bush would use if and when a conflict would breakout with Iran. In the latest development, “the U.S. Navy staged its latest show of military force off the Iranian coastline on Wednesday, sending two aircraft carriers and landing ships packed with 17,000 U.S. Marines and sailors to carry out unannounced exercises in the Persian Gulf.”

Why does this matter? For starters, the national average price for gas is $3.18, Bush is desperate to change the subject from Iraq and “merchant ships passing through the busy strait carry two-fifths of the world’s oil exports.”

All it would take is some seemingly insignificant skirmish to blow this situation wide open. In fact,U.S. warships have frequently collided with merchant ships in the busy shipping lanes of the Gulf.” God forbid, the US were to mistakenly collide with an Iranian defense vessel, the prospect of war would be imminent with each side claiming that they had no choice but to respond.

Bush, if you are reading this post, let me be clear: Stop meddling! It doesn’t matter who started what, your actions are only adding fuel to the fire and cutting off the prospects of a diplomatic solution to this ongoing crisis.

Stay up fam,

Brandon Q.
